Markit Media: Social Media Design for Our Own Agency Brand
Markit Media is the agency itself, so this page shows its own social posts as internal creative, not paid client work. It covers a humour-led series for marketers: character cut-outs, talking objects, fonts as characters, ad-platform in-jokes and a desk-contents series by job role.

What the posts had to do
An agency's own feed is its portfolio, so these posts aim at the people who buy marketing: they should be recognisable to a marketer, funny enough to be shared and good enough to show the standard of the work. Each series turns a familiar piece of marketing life into a short, visual joke.
The series
The first series asks "What if" a well-known screen character was in digital marketing. Each post cuts the character out over a colour-graded backdrop, repeats the same headline and gives the character one line of marketing advice about click-through rate, vanity metrics, algorithms, trust, audience relationships, sustainable growth, ROI and discounts. These posts use stills of film and television characters, which this page describes without naming. Whether the agency holds the rights to use them has not been confirmed.
A second series gives everyday objects eyes and lips: a laptop, a phone and a keyboard that talk back. The speech bubbles carry the jokes, such as a phone with no storage left for 3,782 selfies and a keyboard tired of mistyped words.
A third series treats fonts as characters. Helvetica becomes the confident brand strategist and Times New Roman the traditional copywriter, each as an illustrated figure on a grid with short personality notes. A fourth series is a set of ad-platform in-jokes on mustard and pink sticky notes, about a performance review run by an ad platform, a raise that fails because a budget limit was not met, feedback that is only scheduled for later and reach that has decreased.
The last series is called What's on our desks. It lists the objects on the desks of a senior social media manager, a junior social media manager, a manager, a graphic designer and a web developer, with hand-lettered labels and arrows on a dark green or orange torn-paper background.
The look
The Markit Media logo, a stylised M in slashes beside the name, sits at the top, and the footer is the agency's social handle. Each series has its own palette and type treatment, but all of them are built from large headlines, cut-out imagery and a single joke per post.
